Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Station Board LLC (“Station Donations,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), which operates the website at stationdonations.com and the Donate Anywhere mobile app (together, the “Service”). By creating an account, accepting donations, donating, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Station Donations provides fundraising websites, donation tools, ticketing, and related features for volunteer fire departments and similar organizations (“Stations”), and a way for supporters (“Donors”) to give money online and in person through Tap to Pay. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

To use Station features you must create an account, provide accurate information, and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and authorized to act on behalf of the organization you register. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Station Donations is free to start, with no setup fee and no monthly charge on our standard plan. Instead, we charge a platform fee of 2% on donations and ticket sales processed through the Service. Stripe also charges its standard payment processing fee, which we do not control and do not mark up.

Stations raising larger amounts may upgrade to a paid plan (currently the Hero plan at $50 per month) under which the 2% platform fee does not apply and only Stripe's processing fee is charged. Current pricing is described on our pricing pages and may change with notice.

All payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. through Stripe Connect. By using payment features, you agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe's terms. Donations and ticket sales are paid directly to the receiving Station's connected account and bank account. Station Donations does not hold, control, or take custody of these funds. Each Station is responsible for the accuracy of its payout details, for delivering any promised goods or services (such as event tickets), and for any refunds, chargebacks, taxes, and legal or regulatory compliance related to its fundraising.

Donations are made to the receiving Station, not to Station Donations. Refund decisions are made by the Station, subject to Stripe's policies and applicable law. We are not responsible for how a Station uses the funds it receives.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any law or regulation, or infringe anyone's rights;
• Misrepresent your identity, your organization, or the purpose of a fundraiser;
• Solicit or process funds for fraudulent, deceptive, or prohibited purposes;
• Upload malicious code, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or interfere with the Service;
• Post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, or otherwise objectionable; or
• Scrape, resell, or misuse data obtained through the Service, including donor information.

Stations retain ownership of the content they create and publish through the Service (such as fundraiser pages, posts, and images). You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload and that it is accurate and lawful.

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by Station Board LLC and its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service except as permitted.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Station Board LLC and its owners, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the platform fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100).

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Station Board LLC from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your content, your fundraising activities, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — such as fees owed, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
